Using Kismet
Kismet provides anonymous text and peer-to-peer video conversations with other visitors. By using the service, you agree to these terms and to use the service lawfully and responsibly. If you do not agree, do not use Kismet.
Eligibility
Kismet is intended for adults. You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into these terms. We do not knowingly provide the service to children.
Acceptable use
You may not use Kismet to:
- harass, threaten, stalk, exploit, or impersonate another person;
- share illegal, abusive, hateful, or sexually exploitative material;
- request or distribute passwords, financial details, or other sensitive information;
- spam, scrape, reverse engineer, or disrupt the service; or
- violate another person's rights or any applicable law.
Do not share information in chat that you would not want a stranger to have. Conversations are with other users, not with Kismet staff.
User content and safety
You are responsible for what you send. We do not guarantee that user-generated content is accurate, appropriate, or safe. We may restrict access, remove content where possible, or take other action when we identify abuse or a violation of these terms.
Video may be observed live by authorized moderators for safety and abuse prevention. Video is not recorded by the current service. Do not use Kismet if you do not consent to this condition.
If you feel unsafe, end the conversation and contact local emergency services when necessary. Never arrange an in-person meeting with a stranger without taking appropriate safety precautions.
Availability and changes
Kismet is provided on an “as available” basis. The service may change, pause, or become unavailable without notice. We may update these terms as the service evolves. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what information the current service handles and how it is used.
